Nils Johan Silver Plated Dish/Wall Hanging

This vintage 1950's silver plated brass dish or shallow plate is made by Nils Johan of Sweden, and is marked with his name and knight's helm maker's mark on the back.

It is marked prima N S and NilsJohan and Sweden. I believe the N S stands for Nickel Silver.

The brass dish is 8.5" wide and 7 1/2" long and it weighs 6.8 ounces. The metal is fresh and the center is shiny, but in good condition with no breaks, cracks or bends. There is a tab in back with a hole for hanging.

The center of the dish shows a rising sun and the border is composed of raised reliefs of work and life in the rural portion of Sweden...
