This is a beautiful Victorian Garnet necklace. The metal is called "Garnet gold" which is actually 4K gold. The necklace has graduated florettes. The 3 center florettes have 3 dangles. Then they become smaller until meeting at the clasp. The clasp is also a garnet flower. A few of the Garnets have tiny chips, which I would expect on a Victorian piece. Minor lead solder to back of one florette. Length is 15 1/5". The center drop is 1 1/2". No garnets missing or replaced. I would date this fine necklace at c1860's-80's.
