This is another example of a modern fake with multiple personalities. There are many variations of Little Red Riding Hood jars. Although this example is marked McCoy and 1930 on bottom, it was not made by McCoy.
The Nelson McCoy Company never made a Little Red Riding Hood cookie jar.
'McCoy' LLRH cookie jars are most often copied from a cookie jar design originally made by the Hull Pottery Company. The McCoy Pottery Company never owned, nor had the right to make, this specific design of cookie jar originally, but many are often found marked with a spurious 'McCoy' mark, even so.
The only characteristic you need to remember that easily differentiates this cookie jar from one in the authentic Little Red Riding Hood ware line, is that McCoy never made this type of item.
This particular example is approximately 11 inches tall.
