Lampwork Glass and Sterling Silver Earrings

Southwestern inspired earrings feature etched glass beads that are wrapped and melted with fine silver wire and topped with sterling silver beads and a Swarovski crystal. They are hung from a hand wrapped sterling bali bead connector. The earrings measure 2 inches from the top of my hand made sterling silver stick ear wires.

If you are unfamiliar with Lampwork Glass, lampworking involves carefully manipulating hot molten glass. Each bead is Individually hand crafted by heating solid glass rods with a torch, to a molten state ... the beads are created by wrapping and layering the molten glass around a steel rod. All the beads are kiln annealed for strength and durability. Lampwork beads can range in price from a few dollars to hundreds of dollars per bead.
