Presumably this very romantic 1933 love note on a postcard was handed to the recipient, Cheri Louis, by M. Louise, because it was not postmarked.
Made by P.C. of Paris, the 3 3/8" by 5 3/8" postcard carries its message in French and in delicate script with purple ink and dated November 1933. It is No. 3149 from P.C. Paris Studio, best known for its line of nudes.
Its exquisite lithograph is of a man and a woman gazing into each other's eyes with white blossoms in the background and pink flowers in the foreground. It is in very good condition. (See all photos for the best condition evaluation.)
The message on the front reads: "Dans les yeux, comme en un miroir / On lirait, heureux, du matin au soir."
If you read French, be sure to read the verso.
