1930s RPPC Real Photo Postcard Under Dr. Locke's Clinic Canopy

Dr. Mahlon William Locke drew crowds of thousands throughout the 1930s seeking his foot care, achieved with a few turns of the ankle but more with a "laying on of hands."

Many people claimed he cured all sorts of a foot ailments, some crippling. He always charged the sum of $1, and almost always healed in front of enormous crowds, whether in his native Williamsburg, Ontario, Canada, or on a circuit including the United States. He was a phenomenon of the Depression.

This real photo postcard is entitled "BENEATH THE CANOPY AT DR. LOCKE'S CLINIC WILLIAMSBURG ONT. COPYRIGHT 1933," showing the doctor surrounded by the multitude of foot patients.

The postcard is in very good unsent condition and measures 5.5" by 3.5".
