And it works! This cute little lamp was made by the Bo Low Co. and is marked on the back of the base and dated 1950.
It features a smiling baby chicken in a beret, who stands next to the egg shell from which he has just emerged. It is all yellow, with blue in the eyes and beret, light blue polka dots on the egg, pink lips, and green grass.
He has nicks in his wing, beret top, cheek, and eggshell which we've photographed, but as you'll see, he remains in pretty good shape for 60 years old. The wiring and fixture are original and still work fine.
He stands 10: tall, with a 5" diameter base.
