Occupied Japan Porcelain Floral Pattern Lamp

Stamped "Made in Occupied Japan" on the bottom, this lovely lamp offers a spray of handpainted pink and burgundy roses on the front and a solitary rose on the back. it also works fine.

It stands 15" high from base to top of bulb and about 20" high with the shade.

Of course it dates to the end of WWII, but we doubt the shade that comes with it is that old, though it is attractive and goes well with the lamp.

Its condition is good, with no chips or cracks, though it does have one brown spot that is clearly a firing flaw (see photo).

It is perfect to use on a night stand, occasional table, or anywhere a splash of handpainted roses is needed.
