Well-framed in 1989 in Vermont, this antique etching is steel engraved and hand-colored.
It is in good condition, with some discoloration in the lower left margin (not in the etching), and measures approx. 8" x 6.5" ( 19 x 15.5 cms) and 13.5" x 12" with mat and frame. The frame has minor scuffs and there is a water stain at the bottom of the paper covering the back. A check of our photos will show its general fine condition. Use zoom.
It was originally published in The Scenery and Antiquities of Ireland.
The etching is entitled "Ballina (County Mayo)" and has Griffith's name in the lower left and Bartlett's in the lower right.
It's a wonderful bit of Irish history.
