Vintage Ken Edwards Tonala Mexico Blue Bird Large Pottery Pitcher

This vintage pitcher by renowned potter Ken Edwards may be the finest pitcher we've ever seen by him. It has a bird, foliage, butterflies, and glazes running in hues from cobalt blue to luminescent gold/brown.

Edwards, originally from the United States and now living in Guatemala, for many years produced this line of blue pottery from his El Palomar studio in Tonala, a suburb of Guadalajara in Jalisco State.

This pitcher is in excellent condition. It has no cracks or chips. It weighs almost 4 pounds, stands 8" high, measures 9.5" from the edge of its massive handle to the front. Its brim measures 5.5".

It is signed KE on the bottom.
