Vintage Jemez Pueblo Native American Indian Pot by M. Tafoya

This mid-century pot is marked "M. Tafoya Jemez."

Jemez Pueblo is northwest of Albuquerque and southwest of Santa Fe in New Mexico, and foremost among its famous potters are members of the Tafoya family. We purchased this from a Washington State estate sale, and it came with its original purchase sticker from many years ago on the bottom.

It is 5.75" high and 6.5" in diameter and beautifully decorated, as we hope our photos show. The photos also show there is some wear to the veneer of the pot, particularly at the top. There are no cracks or chips.
