Hull Casserole with Lid Nuline Bak-Serve Sea Foam Green 1930s '40s

Hull made this pattern of pottery in the 1930s and '40s. It's the Nuline Bak-Serve Line in the diamond quilt design.

Of its variety of colors, the sea-foam green is the most sought-after, and certainly the loveliest. It is 7 1/2" in diameter and stands 4.25" high with lid.

As its name Bak-Serve implies, it is functional for both baking and as a serving bowl.

The bowl and lid are both in very good condition with no cracks or chips. The unglazed rim where the bowl and lid meet have darkened with age. There are a couple of firing "spots." (See our photos for condition detail.)

The bottom marking, though faint, says "HULL U.S.A. B13 -- 7 1/2".

A gorgeous piece from the period.
