The age of this pair of beautiful mahogany candle sticks is unknown. I have had them for 50 years and they were old then. They appear to have been made by a skilled craftsman but are unsigned. Each is fashioned of two pieces. I know because the bottom fell off one of them some years ago and it had to be glued back on. One has a brass drip insert. The other has been missing for so long I don't even remember it. They have a beautiful dark mahogany patina and both have well worn felt on the bottoms.
Measure 8-1/2" tall and 4-1/4" across the bottom. There is minor loss of color along the sharp round edges where they have worn from handling over the years. Still an impressive set and elegant in their simplicity.
