Before the Darkness Falls by Eugenia Price 1st Edition
One of my top ten favorite authors is Eugenia Price (1916-1996). I've read all of her American South series at least once. Published in 1987, "Before the darkness Falls" is the third of four books in the "Savannah" series which is set in turbulent antebellum Georgia. Book is in excellent condition and signed on the fly leaf with her signature, which I believe has been stamped. The signature at the top of that same page "Rocky Piper, St. Simon's Island," is a familiar name to me and possibly one of the many people she acknowledged in her Author Notes.
Price first visited St. Simon's Island in the early 1960's and was so impressed with the community and its history that she ultimately moved there permanently. Measures 9-1/2 by 6-1/2 with 455 pages.
