Decorative Wrought Iron Hot Pot Holder

Recently refurbished from the 1940's, this hot pot holder belonged to my grandmother and was used on the dining room table for many years. Finally starting to rust and the paint flaking away, it was relegated to the back of my kitchen cabinet. About to toss it in the trash, I decided to restore it instead. Sanded smooth down to the base metal and with two coats of black enamel, it looks as good as new. It was a bit tricky getting the old (originally white) plastic coils off. Only one break was on a corner and not noticeable now on the underside. Four original rubber feet are removable.

Overall handle to handle measures 14-1/2 inches and 3-3/4 across. Bottom "seat" for a bowl is 5-1/2 inches. Bowl shown is for demonstration only and not included with this sale. However, two of them are offered in this shop listed under the category of Glass. Or you can "Search This Shop" (in the upper left corner of this page) and just type in the item number 1154.
