The Limoges China Company of Sebring, OH was widely known for excellent dinnerware from 1901 until they closed the doors in 1955. This set of three bowls date from the 1940's and back-stamped: Triumph (shape of the bowl); China D'Or and pattern number IT-S 284 as well as warranted 22-K gold. They measure 8-1/4-inches wide and 1-3/8 tall.
A wide gold filigree pattern encircles the rim with a central drawing of two maidens being serenaded by a lute player. All have minor age related crazing that is barely noticeable. There is one small chip that shows on the rim (see photo). Two larger chips on the back (see last photo) and really tiny nicks, also on the back. Will display nicely.
