Vintage 2-Gallon Galvanized Watering Can

Rescued from my grandmother's back porch many years ago, remnants of a paper label are still faintly visible on one side of this 2-gallon container. A dent on one side just adds character. House plants were my grandmother's passion and they abounded on both her front and back porches: African Violets, Aspidistra, Coleus, etc. etc.

Faint threads at the tip indicate there may have been a pierced sprinkler at the end. But it is long gone and I don't ever remember it having one. For just watering pots, it works just fine without one. To the top of the handle it measures 13 inches; 15 inches from the top of the spout to the back of the handle; bottom diameter is 8 inches. Holds two gallons to the top of the rim and no leaks.
