This is a wonderful book, published in 1934...and except for introductions, it is all in French! The frontispiece is an illustration from the first performance in 1830 of Hugo's 'Hernani'. There are plays by Dumas, Hugo, etc., 926 pages (some not separated), plus reference of plays list, from Harper Bros Publishers, edited by Elliot Grant, Professor of French, Smith College. It measures 5.5" x 8.25" x 2". This exceptional book is in excellent condition, with only a very slight amount of wear to bottom from shelf sitting over the years; spine and pages are tight, no writing, underlining, no stains, foxing, etc. A really unique addition to any collection of French literature, plays, etc., or just for a great conversation piece!
