Collection of Japanese eggshell porcelain including a matching sugar and creamer with lids. Additional matching pieces of the original tea service are included. The set is not complete but perfect for someone trying to match missing or broken pieces of the same set. This set is believed to be circa 1890-1910.
The porcelain features Demoiselle cranes and delicate flowers with Mt. Fugi shaded in violet in the background. The creamer is 5 inches tall. There is an uneven edge or possibly a chip to the inside edge of the spout as shown in the images. The sugar is 5 inches tall. Both the sugar and creamer are signed on the sides as shown. Included are two tea cups 3 3/8 inches in diameter - one cup has a fine hairline on the rim as shown. There are five tea saucers 5 1/2 inches in diameter. When stacked, you can see the plates are "out of round" and appear warped. There are six small round plates 6 inches in diameter. One has a tiny chip on the rim as shown. There is a single round dessert plate 7 1/4 inches in diameter.
