German pink bisque character doll Heubach 5636 smiling girl 13 1/2"

Dolly is 13 1/2 inches tall. Her head circ. is 8 inches and the socket head is approximately 3 inches tall. She has a socket head on a straight wrist wood and composition body. Her head has two hairlines and her body has been completely repainted with areas of repair. The true color of her bisque is pink (not just a tint, the color of the bisque inside her head is also pink) - I have lightened the close-up images of her face to better show the hairlines but it washed out the pink.

The two hairlines come from the left forehead: One faint hairline stops at the left eyelid, the second hairline travels between her eyes to the inside corner of the right eye and continues from the outside corner of the right eye into the temple and stops at the right ear. I do not find any evidence of a repair inside the head - the sleep eyes are in the original plaster set with normal age soiling to the interior of the head. The body torso has stress fractures at the mold seams at the sides and shoulders despite the old repair and repaint.

She is still very sweet when displayed and her long blonde mohair wig with long braids hides most of the hairlines. Her clothing includes the blue and white cotton print dress with matching panties, a white cotton slip, rayon socks and blue oilcloth shoes.
