This is a stunning Aesthetic movement transferware large 9 1/2 inch plate. Transfer printed in rich blue with a white ivoryware earthenware pottery typical of the Josiah Wedgwood factory in the Staffordshire potting district of England. Decorated with a lush kaleidoscopic botanical image of peony flowers. The peonies are interwoven can converge in the center. A touch of gold luster to the outer edge.
Never Used. The plate is in great condition. Very clean.
