Raspberries ~ Naturalist series designed by W. S. Coleman

Minton's Potteries

Stoke upon Trent, Staffordshire England

c. 1877

This fabulous Victorian aesthetic 10 " plate is very bright white and is transfer printed in brown with under glaze painting in exceptional hues of turquoise, raspberry red, green, autumn orange and purple.

The clear and crisp pattern features a fantastic Raspberry cane filled with ripe luscious berries and glowing leaves. A rare purple Butterfly completes this outstanding pattern.

The piece is marked on the underside with an impressed registration mark, the pattern name and trademark that identifies the maker as Minton's, a pottery maker working in the Staffordshire region of England during the 19th century.

EXCELLENT CONDITION, clean shiny and bright. It is absolutely gorgeous.
