Antique Victorian Hanging Oil Lamp - Chrysanthemums
Nice condition, ornate bronze & brass frame. Has the original embossed glass oil font with the built-in spill ring. The winder housing and all other parts are also embossed.
The font has an antique P&A Queen Anne brass burner (the font has been cleaned of any oil and a dry wick installed in the burner). Has not been electrified, and will still burn lamp oil or paraffin (both are generally better than kerosene). Can easily be passively electrified if you prefer. For this type of lamp, a pre-wired passive replacement burner is available from many lamp shops. We can let you know where to order one online if you like.
Measures about 42"L as shown, and about 17"L. There is about 9" of chain showing out of the winder, so could be shortened up about 8" or so.
Will ship in a 25" cube box @ about 20 pounds, in the lower 48 of the USA only.
