Offered is this Vintage Church Statue of Saint Anthony holding Baby Jesus. From one of the numerous local Pennsylvania churches that have closed its doors after so many decades.
A wonderful statue of Saint Anthony, and in an impressive 5 foot tall size.
He's been around for a long time, and has a few scars to prove it. Overall, in very good condition. We have attempted to show every area with a defect, but if you need more pictures, let us know and we'll email them to you. Essentially, everything you see can be repaired. There is a long hairline crack down the left arm, a chipped toe, the fingers holding the bible have some damage to the tips, someone used drywall screws to hold the halo on Anthony's head, there is a hole at the bottom in the back of Anthony's robe, some missing material just behind Jesus' hand, a repair made to the upper-back of robe, and they really need some cleaning and touch-ups. It truly sounds worse than it is - but no surprises.
The statue appears to be made of composition or some similar material, and you can see burlap poking out of the hole in the robe. The base is concrete with a plywood bottom.
The robe has an impressed B in the back-bottom, perhaps for the maker or person that actually crafted the statue.
Measures 5'H 24"W x about 17"D. 14"x15.5" at the base. Weighs in at almost 150 pounds. ***Will require being professionally crated at Freighters and Craters (costs to be determined after purchase, or check Freighters and Craters website and use the dimensions/weight provided, and zip code 18702), and shipped to your destination.
