1940's Zuni Sterling Silver / Turquoise Cuff Bracelet Vintage Southwestern / Native American / SCARCE
FABULOUS 6 row snake eye natural American turquoise stones set in sterling silver, 84 stones and 7 rows of slightly domed heavy applied silver drop beads add weight and volume to this timeless bracelet. Classic, EXQUISITELY detailed shank. Unsigned.
This gorgeous Southwestern Native American bracelet is from our private family collection acquired as a vintage piece in the 1960's, and now letting it go. Our loss is your gain!! We believe the bracelet originated circa 1940's.
The Turquoise Cuff Bracelet could be considered the staple of Native American Jewelry and Turquoise Jewelry in specific; it is synonymous with the tribes of the Southwest.
Before the Southwest decorating era became popular, most jewelry was not signed. Artistic tribe members would make pieces for themselves and family.
Measures: 5 3/8" + 1 1/8" opening for a total of 6 4/8". Width: 1 1/2" at widest point, tapered ends. It weighs a hefty 71 grams. It has tested as sterling silver.
Terrific vintage condition, some sterling silver beads have darkened of course with age, lovely natural patina. We do not believe in cleaning a striking piece like this. No stones are missing.
Photos do not fully capture exact color hues and detail; wait until you see this stunning bracelet up close!!
Will make a FABULOUS gift for yourself or someone special in your life!!
