This is a very collectible older Peter Rabbit title, that was not penned by Beatrix Potter; some that were published by the original Frederick Warne Company.
Story begins: All good little girls and little boys know that Peter Rabbit lived with his mother and his little sisters Flopsy, Mopsy and Cotton-tail under the roots of a fir tree, at the end of a deep, deep wood.
All the original characters from Beatrix Potters classic tale, along with Taffy Cat, Mrs. Ducky Daddles, Billy Beaver and others. Four publisher advertising pages at end of book, lovely cover illustrations including: The Cinderella story, Bunnie Bunniekin series, A Child's Garden of Verses, and another Peter Rabbit book. All sold for .50 cents each; that takes you back!
Small hardcover, grey boards, bright color paste-down illustration, red cloth reinforced binding, 59 glossy cardstock pages, 5" x 4". Binding tight. Excellent vintage condition. Hard-to-find a copy so nice for almost 100 years old.
Pages near fine/excellent/bright/clean/light wear includes light yellowing-2 tiny tears/2pp light creasing-2 very light smudges. Name printed ep box. Cover very good++/very good/bright/clean overall-shelfwear includes light edgewear-lightly bumped corners/some age toning-light soiling.
