Profusely illustrated in brilliant, vibrant colors. Approx 30 full page color and black & white plates, and color frontispiece; some autosigned. Lovely animal & doll borders, elaborate designs top and bottom of every text page.

Gorgeous duo page illustrated color endpapers. Charming farm animal drawings include ducks, goats, swans, chickens & more. Photos do not fully capture bold, beautiful color and exact hues; wait until you see up close. WOW!

Stories of Russian peasant family and animals. Each chapter has different tale describing life on the farm; such fun and frolic had by all!!

Delightful first story begins with Auntie Katushka bringing Andrewshek five pounds of poppy seeds to sprinkle on cakes to make together.

Maud and Miska were a famous illustrating husband-and-wife team. They wrote and illustrated popular book "The Rooster Crows" American songs, rhymes, and games in the tradition of Mother Goose.

Hardcover, black cloth boards, orange stamped decoration, borders, spine titles, 7" x 6". Illustrations MINT. Quality unpaginated cardstock pages. Binding tight. Excellent vintage condition.

Pages excellent/bright/clean/light wear-occasional light smudge-small spot. Fbep light wear-small name/pp end 2" left side water stain-1/4" blank pp edges-not on pics.

Cover very good++/bright/clean-light shelfwear-white lines/light scuffing front-back indent line/some scuffing-light corner bumping. 1pp partially separated binding/light spinewear-few pp light give-fully intact.
