COLLECTOR'S 1915 first edition children's hardcover book - Two Little Women. From the popular series by Carolyn Wells; rare out-of-print antiquarian gem.

Publisher: Grosset & Dunlap, Copyright, 1915. Not ex-library. Wonderful black & white frontispiece illustration by E.C. Caswell. Photo does not do drawing justice; wait until you see!

Plot: Dotty Rose moves into the house next door to Dolly Fayre. Both girls are just shy of their 15th birthdays and they become fast friends. Wells give a glimpse of what life was like for two moderately well-to-do families in the early part of the 20th century.

Carolyn Wells was married to Hadwin Houghton of Houghton-Mifflin publishing empire. Especially noted for her humor, frequent contributor of nonsense verse and whimsical pieces to such little magazines as Gelett Burgess - The Lark, The Chap Book, The Yellow Book and The Philistine.

Author of two other popular stories in Two Women series; "Two Little Women on a Holiday" and "Two Little Women and the Treasure House". *We may have other books in this series that is not in our shop. Please ask!
