Wonderful and rare all original mechanical Waltzing Steiner Lady Doll with wonderful silk gown ....France circa 1865.... 14,5" / 37 cm ..... Beautiful pale bisque shoulder head with typical plump facial modeling...... fantastic pale blue glass enamel inset eyes with fine details and painting.Open mouth with pale accented lips and two rows of tiny porcelain teeth , rare pierced ears and original blonde mohair wig over cork pate. Original carton torso that extends forming into a skirt and hides the clockwork mechanism within. Works perfect and wonderful........; when wound , the doll glides forward and turns in circles , glides again , as though waltzing and while moving arms up and down , original Rare gutta-percha upper arms and forearms with hands... some fingers are missing ..... Wonderful antique silk gown and lace bonnet with flowers decoration... Perfect head without problem...no chip´s , hairline or other damage........

This is a rare model with beautiful round face and original body and arms and the mechanism works perfect and beautiful.....wonderful antique wearing.... A early and so charming mechanical Waltzing Doll from Jules Steiner..... France circa 1865 ...... and rare to find at this time.
