This is one of the finest examples of the rare 227 character man!

Solid domed bisque socket head on a fully jointed composition and wood French doll body. Gorgeous smiling blue "jewel" paperweight eyes, painted upper and lower lashes, tapered brows, open smiling mouth with six upper teeth, molded hair. Wearing a wonderful boy's maroon silk velvet suit with short pants, brown stockings, black leather lace-up shoes (some wear and repairs), matching velvet beret, maroon silk bow and waist band.

CONDITION: Excellent. Good quality bisque with crisp modeling, expert painting of features, pleasant color and superb modeling of wonderful character face, The original fully jointed body in fine original finish condition. His extraordinary eyes just sparkle with joy, conveying a feeling of happiness and warmth. His wonderful jovial expression just says, "Take me home!" A desirable and rare French character boy!!!
