Solid domed bisque socket head with two stringing holes on a flat top on a fully jointed German Sonneberg-type body with straight wrists and 8 loose balls. Lovely, chocolate brown paperweight eyes with painted upper and lower lashes, finely feathered two tone brows, closed mouth with shading and white area between lips, full, long cheeks, pierced ears, nice quality blond mohair wig. Dressed in a very pretty antique cream cotton dress with lace trim (some areas of wear), antique cream cotton full slip and matching pantaloons, antique cream knit socks, antique cream cloth shoes, pretty silk bow in her hair.
CONDITION: Excellent. Very fine quality practically flawless bisque with pale coloring, expert decoration of features and very crisp modeling of attractive and sweet face. Minor kiln pitting to the upper left of the left brow. Dating from the 1880s and made for the French market. The antique Sonneberg-type body in fine original finish condition with hardly any wear, just some minor soiling to the hands. An exceptional example of this uncommon mold made for the French trade! She has Steiner look and is in great condition!!!!
