Wonderful Civil War Era Girl's Blue/Black Plaid Dress
This wonderful 1860's era dress was most recently worn by one of my larger (28") antique bisque dolls. It should fit dolls between 28"-32" very nicely. It's a sweet little dress made of blue and black plaid wool and lined in brown glazed cotton. The entire bodice, sleeves, and hem are lined. The dress is embellished at the neckline, sleeve and pocket with black cording. The sleeves also have tiny bits of lace trim. The steel buttons up the back appear to be replacements and the top 2 are missing. The front of the dress has some fading and some overall light staining. the pocket seam has come loose on one side, there are a couple of small seam separations on one sleeve, and one side seam. Even with these issues, the dress still displays wonderfully well. It could use a professional cleaning or a light steam which might perk it up a bit. There are no odors.
Measurements are: 19" long neck to hem, 13" neck to dropped waist, 10" across shoulder to shoulder, 12" across chest, sleeve length is 7.5".
