Amazing 1860's Child's Muslin Blouse

I just love this little early blouse. I'm not certain, but believe it may have been a boy's blouse as the buttons along the hem were probably meant to be fastened to the waistband of a pair of trousers or shorts. It's made of cotton muslin with tiny black or dark green polka dots. There's a small breast pocket on the front and a sweet rounded collar at the neck. The bottom of the blouse has a waistband in a complimentary calico print in the same colors and the buttons are sewn on this band. There is one button missing and one on the front that is loose does not match the others. This would be great for a large early papier mache or china doll, or would be equally nice framed as a piece of artwork for a doll room.

It measures 11.5" long, 10.5" across the shoulders, sleeve length is 10.5", and the waist measures 10.5" across, flat measurement.

Other than the missing or replaced buttons previously mentioned, this little shirt is in excellent condition, free of holes or stains.
