Platinum and gold hand painted Limoges porcelain pitcher
Standing at 10 inches in height, this marvelous pitcher commands attention with it's outlined design filled in with gold and platinum.
A copper luster was used inside the spout area and on one side. This pitcher has a two-sided design for your preference, and spans the Art Nouveau, Colonial Revival, and Art Deco movements, in it's form and design.
The french Limoges pitcher mold was perfected at the Gerard, Dufraisseix and Abbot factory circa 1900 - 1941, and has a smooth high-gloss glaze finish. The American artist, J. Galbraith, has signed on the reverse. It measures 14.5 inches in circumference near the base, and is very gently worn in just a few small areas.
There are no chips, flakes, cracks or restorations.
