Sir John Mills (1908 - 2005) was a part of British cinema for almost seventy years and became famous in Europe through the 1935 movie “Born for Glory” and in America through “ Goodbye, Mr. Chips ” (1939).

He won a “ Best Supporting Actor Oscar “ for Ryan's Daughter (1970).

In 1966 she appeared in the only film he directed, Sky West and Crooked, based on a book by her mother Mary Hayley Bell.

Since the photo has been used for a publication there are marks on the photo, some writing at the back and a horizontal crease.
