Interesting COIN SILVER Sweetheart Bracelet Made of India Coins!

AGE: Coins are dated in the 1930s and 1940s.

ITEM: A silver bracelet fashioned from coins that were once legal tender in India. The central coin is a ONE QUARTER ANNA and depicts George V; it is dated 1935. The smaller coins are 1/12th ANNA and also bear the profile of George V. The open coins are 1 PICE and are dated 1943/1944. Possibly a sweetheart piece of jewelry made at the end of World War II; perhaps not. Simple hook and eye closure.

CONDITION: Very nice with a touch of polish residue still apparent in my photos (sorry).

METAL CONTENT: Coin silver - but very lightweight. Since the coins on the bracelet are the lowest denominations of the currency of India, the silver content would be the same as well.

HALLMARKS: Coins are coins.

SIZE: Length from end to end is 8-1/4". Center coin is 1" high/wide.

WEIGHT: 17.5 grams

FINAL COMMENTS: An interesting piece that could be taken apart or left as is and worn with other coin silver bracelets.
