Turquoise and Sterling Silver Necklace

This one is definitely the real thing, whether another one for the collector of turquoise or someone's first treasure: composed of genuine Tibetan turquoise beads that I bought years ago on one of my many trips to Nepal that I have combined with meticulously hand-crafted, detailed sterling silver beads, also purchased years ago. Once in a great while I bring out my special beads and make a piece or two with them...this is the one for now, a little on the heavier side but not over-the-top.

Finished length is a generous 20 1/2 inches and the necklace is composed of seven turquoise gems with sterling silver beads and clasp. Two of the sterling beads are huge, each one is almost 2 inches long, and absolutely incredible. I haven't seen any beads like this on the market in recent years.

The turquoise is more green than blue, as the Tibetan turquoise tends to be. It has lots of brownish matrix adding character, with each oval bead different from the others but in the same color group. The center piece is 1 1/2" wide and has a flat side and a domed side; two of the beads are 1 inch long; two are 3/4" and two are 1/2", so all the math is in balance, as it should be in a well-composed object.
