Elegant 1940s Channel Set Sapphire & 9K Gold Ring
The Sapphire gems in this retro ring are a gorgeous deep blue and neatly set in an angled line across the front of the ring, the line of gemstones are bezel set and the gold encircles the sides of the gemstone and extends slightly above it. A bezel setting holds a gemstone securely, and the low, protective profile it creates makes a bezel setting a good choice for people with active lifestyles. The lower design of the ring has three crossover bands, similar to a 'fused together' puzzle ring, the line of bezel set sapphires arches gently across the bands and the two design elements work beautifully together. The ring is hallmarked on the inside of the band 9K gold and is English in origin, made during the 40s, it is in excellent condition, the stones have a good sparkle and there are no chips, it is very comfortable to wear and has lovely smooth edges acquired over the years, sapphire blue gemstones always display a regal, elegant look.
