Gorgeous Art Nouveau Ruby & Clear Paste Pendant Necklace
This is a beautiful and authentic C.1900 Art Nouveau festoon necklace, the design looks like two fans, the smaller one is slightly raised from the lower fan shape and given more definition by the cut out, open sides of the lower fan, at the top of the higher fan is a diamond shaped, bezel set ruby paste stone and below that is a clear crystal. The base of the pendant is very pretty, there are three little chains each holding a rondelle ball and gently draping swag chains, which overlap each other, giving lots of attractive movement and dangling seductively! There are two triangular designs, at either side of the top of the necklace, which are attached by little rings and move independently, another little feature to allow more movement, the necklace is gold filled and it has an efficient clasp fastening with the added bonus of a little safety clasp. The design of the necklace is elegant and beautiful, well thought out and it is in excellent condition, it would be a very acceptable gift for someone special or a special gift to yourself. The length of the necklace is 16 1/2", the pendant measures just under 3" across the front, including the chain designs and it is 1 1/2" long.
