Dainty Art Nouveau Cornflower Blue Crystals Pendant
This Edwardian era Art Nouveau pendant is a very pretty design, it is formed with several different shapes and they are all mounted at differing heights with undulation to the gold plated metal, the base shape is two circles, on top of this is a 'lips' shape design applied which is higher in the middle, lower at the sides, next is a collet set nicely faceted cornflower blue crystal glass stone above a 'wishbone' shape which again is lower under the blue stone and domed where it crosses the circles, the sides have little leaf shapes and at the base is a smaller collet set faceted cornflower blue crystal with its own jump ring which dangles and moves attractively. There is a oval bale atop which can take a larger chain if required, a fancy or Nouveau looking chain would be a pretty companion, the pendant is in very good condition, there is minimal wear to the gold plating at the edges, no dents or dings, the blue stones sparkle and twinkle nicely and have a good depth of color, there are no chips, the length of the pendant including the bale is almost 1 3/4" and it is 1" across. If you are having a blue theme at your Wedding, the pendant has an elegant and stylish design, fitting for a Bride or Bridesmaid and it would of course be a very acceptable gift for someone special.
