Please meet "Baxter", poor cousin to Buster, a pedigreed Steiff dog in another listing. . .Baxter here is also from the 1910-20's era of mohair toys but is more forlorn and probably not Steiff. He has worn golden mohair and is missing the tip of his left foot but can still stand. He has wire armature in his legs and is in a seated position, and is un-jointed. Excelsior filled with felt lined ears, he has large, boot button eyes and remains of his black perle nose and mouth embroidery. No claws or voice that I can find. Mommy repairs to right ear and end of left foot, as mentioned. Vintage ribbon is old, not original.
