Very Fine German 1L Pewter Covered Stein,c.1880

You are viewing a very fine quality German 1 liter covered stein. It was made by the Munich firm of Joseph Lichtinger(1851-1900). He opened his factory in 1873 and sold it in 1896. His firm did some of the finest pewter work of the time. It is signed underneath the covered lid. The stein measures 11" overall in height. It has a 5 1/4" diameter bottom.
