Hertel Schwab #152 Baby

Sweet #152 Hertel Schwab Baby c. 1910 is 9" tall. This baby has a perfect bisque socket head, no damage to the bisque, with original light brown mohair wig and pate. Baby has an open mouth, painted in German red with upper teeth and molded tongue on the bottom. There is a leather tongue inset inside the mouth. His face has finely painted lashes and fly away multi stroke eyebrow. The gray blue glass sleep eyes open and close freely. This adorable baby has big dimples on each cheek, (small check rub on right side).

Baby is on a 5 piece German composition baby body. The hands have the nice painted red lines between nicely shaped fingers. I noticed some repaint to the feet, see photo, otherwise all parts are in very good condition,in original finish.

This baby doll is nicely dressed in antique clothing that consists of a long sleeve, flannel bunting that is gathered and tied closed at the bottom. Over that this he wears a crocheted cream and blue wool sweater. Very cute baby in a nice small size that would easily fit into a cradle or playpen with or without other babies! Comes from a smoke free home.
