Ginny 1951 Brother Sister Series

Very choice, all original, Strung Ginny from 1951 Brother and Sister Series, shown on page #48 of "The Ginny Doll Encyclopedia" by Sue Nettleingham Roberts and Dorothy Bunker. This doll is in pristine condition and still retains the Round Silver Vogue Hang Tag! She has very clear blue sleep eyes that do open and close on their own, but only half way. Her painted eyelashes are not faded at all! Her hair is still in the original long braids that are tied at the ends with blue ribbon. She has lovely coloring and stands on her own! Her outfit is perfect, the colors are crisp and without fading. The dress closes in the back with a hook and eye closure. She wears nylon socks and blue center snap shoes. Her hat retains its elastic chin strap and has multi colored braid trim around the inside of the brim. There are tassels that hang from the top of her hat with tiny silver bells on the ends! This Transitional Ginny is in near mint condition and was never played with!! Ginny doll and all of my dolls are from a smoke free home. She has been stored away for years and years. This is a wonderful example of an early, increasingly rare Ginny!
