This figurine is made by Brayton Laguna Potteries, founded in 1927 in Southern California by Durlin E. Brayton. This ceramic figurine is named "Butch". The hand-decorated and painted character is very charming. He is in excellent condition. No chips, scratches or repairs that I can see. He is from a private collection. The painting of his hat, face outfit and gifts he carries is clear and bright with a very pretty glaze. He stands about 7 1/2" high and is about 4" at the widest part. He is marked on the base of his feet with a light print that reads "Butch", also a "4" and a hand scratched into the clay "7" with a very light stamp that reads "Brayton Pottery".
A beautiful piece from a long ago era.
