Large Ceramic Ashtray & Table Lighter

By Stangl Pottery, a large ceramic ashtray and matching table lighter. The USA company had it start in 1814, then known as Hill Pottery and closed their doors as Stangl Pottery in 1978. The lighter hardware was produced by the infamous Evans Co, also produced in the USA.

The hand painted ashtray is plenty large enough for cigars and pipes.

The brass lighter pulls free from the ceramic table lighter and has the "Evans" double Lion and Coat of Arms hallmark.

Beneath each piece is Stangl's mark in gold scripted "Hand Painted ** Stangl ** Trenton, NJ ** Granada Gold ** 9942". This set dates to mid century, late 1950's, 1960's, has a great retro look.

Size: Ashtray measures 8-1/2" x 7-1/8" x 1-7/8". The table lighter measures just short of 4".

Weight: Nice and heavy, the pair weighs two pounds.

Condition: Near Mint! There is no damage to the pottery pieces. The lighter has good spark, just needs lighter fluid. The brass on the lighter has been polished loosing some of its aged patina.
