Oriental Cloisonne Enamel Pin Tray

An enamel cloisonne pin tray from days gone by. A diaper patter of clouds are the background against blue sky. A pair of butterfly's flutter by a branch of spring flower blossoms. Brass rim surrounds the edge. I love the different colors used on the tree limb, making it appear as a grain of the wood. The underside is simply turquoise enamel with a brass foot.

There is no makers mark. It was in 1914, all import pieces required the origin of country. The name of the country started being imprinted or stamped during later years.

Size: A bit smaller than most, this piece measures 3-1/4" round.These sweet little trays are an item that are still affordable, and each one have individual personalities.

Condition: MINT! No chips or cracks.

This item may have been used as an ashtray, as many were. I use mine as a pin dish, and it works very well.
