Tonala Pottery Vase & Napkin Rings - Mexico

A vintage "Tonala" glazed pottery vase with napkin rings from our neighbor to the South, Mexico. The handmade "Tonala" pottery vase from Mexico is decorated with a wonderful stylized Crane standing with wings spread amongst tall foliage. The napkin rings are decorated with a single flower and vines of foliage traveling across the oval rings. The soft toned glazes used by the artist are blues, greens and browns with a gray background known of Tonala styles.

The vase has an artist's hallmark beneath, a brown fish with the initials of MRR within, plus the artist wrote the names of the persons who most likely carried it back from their Mexican vacation as a souvenir. The napkin rings only carry the country's name of origin, Mexico

Perfect for the little Fiesta in your home. Nothing so filling and yummy as Mexican food.
