Porcelain Ring Dish with Finger Hold

An oriental porcelain ring dish hand painted from Japan. The gold and black dish shows Mt. Fuji in the background. Gold bamboo stands tall while large white flowers sit close to the golden water full of small gold fish. The border is fluted with gold trim with tiny gold dots. The finger-hold along side was also painted with gold gilt. This piece could be used for a candy dish, for peanuts or bonbon bowl.

The back side does show a red hallmark of Mt. Fuji with waterways below. The porcelain mark is similar to several of the Fukagawa hallmarks, but did not find this exact mark in my research. Made for export the mark does read "Made in Japan".

Size: 6" round

Condition: Pristine. No chips or cracks or scratches. Slight wear on gold gilt handle.
