A vintage wood inlay Windsurfer, an ancient art form called Marquetry dating back to the Pharaohs of Egypt. The setting sun sets on the mountains, the Wind Surfer taking advantage of wind and water. Wind Surfing was always a sport I've wanted to try. This piece of Marquetry Art work is framed in Oak.
Hand Made of various woods' from around the world, they include Padauk, Purple Heart, Gum Wood, Birds Eye Maple, Holly, Avodire, Koa, Ash & Mahogany, Green Poplar and Aspen. These woods were imported from Africa, South America, and the USA including Hawaii. There is a silver hanger ready to place the picture on the wall.
The back is covered in cardboard and has a type written paper label telling us of the art form "Marquetry" with a lengthy listing of woods they use to produce these items. This crafty wind surfer was made here in the USA, Seattle to be exact.
